JodiSync helps adults find a life partner. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how you stay in control. We try to say it plainly.
Who we are
JodiSync ("we", "us") runs the JodiSync app and this website. You can reach us at hello@jodisync.com. That address is also our grievance contact; we reply to privacy requests and complaints there.
What we collect

We never ask for Aadhaar numbers.
Who sees your information
- Other members see your profile as you set it. Your surname, college, employer and chosen optional details are for your matches only. You can blur photos until you match and hide religion or community.
- Your family sees only what you share with them (for example a shortlist or a biodata link you create). Family members never read your chats.
- Service providers who process data for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Google (sign-in), Microsoft Azure (face detection on photos and selfies: the image is sent to check how many faces it shows and how clear it is, and we do not use it to identify anyone), Agora (voice calls), PostHog (analytics, only with your consent) and, when paid plans start, Google Play billing. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show third-party ads.
- We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
Your choices and rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- see and correct your profile at any time in the app (Me, then Edit profile);
- pause your profile, or hide details, in Settings;
- withdraw consent (for example for analytics or sensitive details) in Settings, and ask us to delete the data it covered;
- ask for a copy of your data, or make a complaint, by writing to hello@jodisync.com;
- delete your account, see Delete your account.
How long we keep it
While your account is active. If you delete it, we hold it for 30 days in case you change your mind, then remove it permanently. Some records (for example reports about abuse, and what the law requires us to keep) may be kept longer where necessary.
Safety
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to member data is limited by database rules so people can only read what they are allowed to. No system is perfectly secure; if something affects you we will tell you as the law requires.
Age
JodiSync is for adults only: women 18 and over, men 21 and over. If you think a child is using it, tell us and we will remove the account.
Profiles made by family or friends
A parent, sibling or friend can start a profile for you. It stays hidden until you confirm it with your own Google account. If you decline, it is removed.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
